About Our Club
Our History
The idea for Jersey Pinelands Curling Club (JPCC) originated during the 2014 Olympics after a group of Medford, NJ residents tried curling on a local lake.
JPCC was founded as a New Jersey non-profit corporation in May 2014. We're very proud to be members of the Grand National Curling Club (GNCC), USA Curling (USAC), and the United States Women's Curling Association (USWCA).
We held our first league games during the summer of 2014 with 43 enthusiastic new members and as of April 2015 have grown to 65 fun people who love to curl.
JPCC continued to grow steadily and then much more rapidly after Team USA won Olympic Gold in 2018.
The increased desire by members and the public to participate in Curling prompted a move in 2019.
We now curl year-round at the Skate Zone in Pennsauken NJ. New players of all levels are always welcome!
Our Purpose
The purposes of JPCC are to:
- Promote and foster the sport of curling on a local, regional, national, and international level;
- Attract, support, and train athletes interested in recreational and/or competitive curling; and
- Provide programs designed to educate the community and to actively engage interested persons in the sport of curling, especially youth.
JPCC is open to curlers and non-curlers of any age or ability. We do not discriminate, period.
